I was born in Akron, Ohio and lived there for twenty-seven years. I was married there, and my wife and I brought home three daughters to small homes we had made in the city. Shortly after moving to Orrville, Ohio, we welcomed a son into our family.

I aspire to write great fiction capable of captivating readers around the world.

My first series, The Tales of the Gatherers, is the product of over six years of fantasizing. For so long, I've been dreaming of Aeris, the world in which The Tales of the Gatherers takes place. Some of the first book's earliest scenes are nearly as old as my oldest daughter, and I'm so pleased to finally be able to share this story with fantasy fans.

A novel is a magical thing, a tool for an author to bind values, hopes, beliefs, crucibles, and dreams to the pages of a book with ink and effort. My dream is that my first series will offer me the opportunity to keep creating intricate worlds in which complex, realistic characters embark on journeys that will delight readers.

For my wife, my daughters, my son, my family, and my friends, I hope to succeed in this endeavor, because I'm nothing but the product of their love and the love I have for them, and my stories are nothing but distillations of the intricate framework of smiles, laughter, warmth, and knowledge that I've been blessed to be part of.
