It's early in the morning, the day after Christmas, and I've got some excellent news. Today I'm posting this message because of a wonderful sale that's going to be occurring today (December 26th) and tomorrow (December 27th). If you've received money for Christmas, then I believe this is quite possibly one of the best things for you to spend it on! This sale is going on over at r/Fantasy, Reddit's subreddit devoted to all things fantasy (as its name so helpfully implies). Hundreds of authors have pledged to discount their novels to participate in this sale. Many novels will be free. Many others will be no more than $0.99. Mine falls into the latter camp, and that's owing to my need to finance the second pledge that each participant in this sale has taken: we've all agreed to give $0.01 for every sale to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If you're unfamiliar with this benevolent organization, here is their mission statement:

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

It's such a caring and genuinely significant cause. If you're interested in donating on your own, check this link out here.

I'm excited to see how the sale plays out. Please take a minute to head on over to Reddit (sale link here) if you've got some newly gifted cash burning a hole in your pocket, wallet, purse, or piggy bank, Having seen and personally talked to some of the authors whose books appear in this sale, I'm confident in saying you'll certainly find something to enjoy if you browse the selection.

Also, this brief blog post offers me an opportunity to simply thank all of you for your readership this year. I hope my blog (both its writing tips and my attempts at being transparent with my writing experiences) has brought even a modicum of value and joy into your lives. I know that meeting many of you and enjoying our many conversations has proven to be a wondrous thing for me, and, because of all of you, I genuinely look forward to expanding my newsletter's reach in 2022, as this means I get to meet more people who are all as unique and interesting as all of you.

Have a magnificent, safe, and joyous New Year. Thank you for everything.
